 • New Case Intake
Priority is given to “fresh” crash scenes. We will proceed to
the scene as expeditiously as possible and begin to preserve and
document the physical evidence.
If your case is an older one, please send us a complete copy of
your investigative file. This should include all pertinent
reports, photographs, depositions and statements.•
Forwarded Depositions
When you forward a copy of a deposition, Please Do Not Send
Reduced Transcripts.
When depositions have exhibits, please send copies of the
exhibits, It is very difficult to review a deposition in a
meaningful manner without the exhibits.
• Forwarded Photographs
If a scale diagram is required, the minimum charge will be
$800.00 plus the regular rates. Large-scale printouts, exhibits
and copies of diagrams will be billed as a miscellaneous expense
for actual cost.
• Deadlines
Please keep us informed of any deadlines, especially discovery
deadlines. We make every effort to accommodate our clients’
schedule. Our calendar is booked in advance, so it will be
necessary to provide us with any information pertinent to the
case in order that we may take the steps necessary to keep to
your commitments or deadlines.
• Reports
It is not our policy to routinely prepare reports. However, we
will be glad to do so upon request. If you desire a report,
please advise us at the onset of the case or at the appropriate
time. This procedure was implemented in order to keep
operational costs down for the client.
• Telephone Consultation
Due to the obvious nature of our work, we are often in the field
and unable to respond immediately to your call. We do however
check in for messages frequently during the day and will get
back to you the same day. If it appears that calls are received
close to office closing, please leave a contact number and your
call will be returned at the night number left. Please advise if
your call can be handled the following morning.
Often our office receives calls to discuss cases not assigned to
our company. We regret that these calls will not be returned
without the minimum retainer amount being received along with
file materials.
• Past Due Charges
Payment is requested upon receipt of the statement. Past due
charges accumulate at 2 % per month. Failure to pay statements
will result in a cessation of work, freezing of the file
material and withdrawal from the case. Once withdrawal has been
made from the case payment will not result in our becoming
active in the case.
