• Steve Baker - Field
Specialist
With twenty years of investigation and enforcement experience.
Steve is an expert in the field of collision investigation. He
is certified in reconstruction of collisions, having completed
the experience and years of education required by the University
of North Florida (IPTM). Steve has investigated hundreds of
collisions many of which involved fatalities and vehicular
homicides.
Steve has been an active instructor in the field of law
enforcement and crash investigations. Steve has testified as an
expert in both criminal and civil procedures.
• Scot Churchwell - Field Specialist
With fifteen years of Law Enforcement and investigation
experience, Scot has built a solid foundation in the field of
collision reconstruction. He graduated from the University of
North Florida (IPTM) as an Accident Reconstructionist.
Scot has investigated hundreds of vehicle collisions including
fatal crashes.
Scot has been an instructor in the field of law enforcement and
investigations. He also is an instructor in the recognition and
effects of intoxicants on drivers. He has a great deal of
experience in court testimony having testified in both criminal
and civil matters.
• Mark Kimsey - Field Specialist
With twenty-four years of Law Enforcement experience, Mark is
both a lead investigator of motor vehicle collisions and a field
specialist. He has investigated thousands of collisions and is
frequently requested to testify, as an expert on forensic
collision dynamics, results of investigations and reviewing
other officer's reports and findings.
Mark brings a number of specialty areas to the Reed Group,
Forensic Crash Consultants team. He is a Tennessee P.O.S.T.
certified instructor in the field of law enforcement, Forensic
Mapping and crash reconstruction. Mark is also a certified by
Top Con and Crash Zone in Forensic Mapping of Crime and Crash
Scenes.
Mark is a graduate of the University of North Florida (IPTM) as
a Crash Reconstructionist. He is a member in good standing of
several nationally recognized associations for reconstruction
and is certified by the Accreditation Commission for Traffic
Accident Reconstruction (ACTAR # 1357). Mark's unique ability
with collision data sets him apart from the norm.•
Matt Majors - Field Specialist
Matt is a graduate of Tennessee Technological University with a
Bachelor of Science Degree, he has accumulated 10 years of
professional law-enforcement experience. Matt is the 2005
recipient of the Southeastern States Wildlife Enforcement
Officer of the Year, and a 2006 recipient of the Tennessee State
Boating Officer of the Year, he has investigated over 100
property damage, serious injury, and fatality boating and water
related collisions.
Investigations range from single vessel to multiple vessel
involving violations of navigation rules, reckless/careless
operation, Boating under the Influence (BUI), and mechanical
failures.
Matt is certified by the National Association of State Boating
Law Administrators Basic Boat accident reconstruction course and
Advanced Boating Accident Reconstruction and Analysis Course,
Matt has testified in numerous criminal and civil trials and has
been qualified as an expert witness.
Areas of training include, but not limited to, collision
investigation of personal watercraft, recreational vessels,
cruisers, and houseboats. Additional training in computer
diagramming and forensic photography, injury assessment, fire
and explosions, mechanical failures, carbon monoxide
investigations, vessel physics, and drugs that impair driving.
Matt is an active instructor in the field of detection and
apprehension of individuals boating under the influence,
emergency vessel operations, field sobriety testing, and boating
safety classes.
• Joe Warren - Field Specialist
Twelve years of law enforcement experience and having worked
extensively as a fatal accident reconstructionist has given Joe
a good deal of experience in the field of collision
reconstruction. Joe is also a certified by Top Con and Crash
Zone in Forensic Mapping of Crime and Crash Scenes.
Joe has authored several articles about crash reconstruction and
scale crash animation.
He graduated from the University of North Florida (IPTM) as an
Accident Reconstructionist. He has been called upon to assist
other law enforcement agencies in the reconstruction of numerous
crashes. Joe has investigated hundreds of injury accidents and
numerous fatal crashes, and has testified as an expert witness
in both civil and criminal courts. Joe has been additionally
trained and is experienced in photogrammetry measurements and
computer scale diagramming. He is our expert in the area of
photogrammetry and can produce detailed crash scene diagrams.
